Everything we produce in our shop starts the same way, from an accurate drawing. Whether it is produced in CAD, CabinetVision, or as a “shop drawing” by our draftsmen, this method ensures both our customer and our craftsman know exactly what to expect. Meticulous attention to detail is applied throughout the production process, from assessing the customers’ requirements through proper joinery technique. We buy our wood and material from trusted domestic suppliers throughout the USA. Our shop and equipment render our production capabilities nearly limitless.
CUSTOM WINDOWS
We manufacture premium grade windows of all shapes and sizes. We use locally sourced insulated glass and the highest quality wood and gasket materials available. LBM guarantees a high level of accuracy for every window we make.
INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR DOORS
If it can be drawn, it can be built. From cabinet doors to front entry systems, we can build wooden doors to any architect or designer specifications. All of our doors are built to at minimum meet AWI Custom standards and are guaranteed to exceed your expectations.
ARCHITECTURAL & BUILT-IN CABINETRY
Having started as a cabinet shop, at LBM Design we take pride in our high level of craftsmanship in cabinetry construction. We specialize in libraries, media rooms, kitchen and bath cabinetry, and freestanding furniture. With our inclination to innovate and adapt with new technology, our custom cabinets are guaranteed to suit your most technical needs. Our cabinets are usually built with veneer core CARB compliant plywood but it is ultimately up to the customer to determine the material. The doors and frames are usually solid hardwood built with the “cope and stick” construction method and interior joinery. Access to a paint booth allows us to use nearly any custom finish.
CUSTOM LINEAR & RADIUS MOULDINGS
With the ability to replicate any existing moulding profile or generate any custom one, we can suit your moulding needs. From 100 linear feet to thousands, our Weinig moulder and Mikron Multi-moulder will produce premium quality ready-to-install moulding.
HISTORIC RESTORATION AND REPRODUCTION
Our ability to create our own knives enables us to produce or reproduce anything, including historical millwork. We are either presented with drawings of historical work or are just brought the whole or a portion of the part needed to be reproduced. Using what we call “forensic woodworking”, we are able to analyze the construction method and determine if the technique is sound or could be improved without sacrificing its authentic appearance. We will always match the original material or suggest an alternative to improve the durability of the product.
